THE SOCIETY FOR UNDERPRIVILEGED UPLIFTMENT.

Our Organisation Nawamita-The Society for Underprivileged Upliftment popularly known by its Acronym NAWAMITA is located in Kolkata, West Bengal. The society has been emerged out of a friendly alliance of a group of committed social activists from different walks of life who were working together for redressing the sufferings of the underprivileged people of their neighbouring areas. The name of our organisation itself implies that the society aims to work towards facilitating betterment of the marginalized sections of the community through various welfare programme initiated for them.

Facilitating socio-economic-political-cultural and environmental up-gradation of the poor and the marginalized section of the population residing in urban and rural areas emphasizing the downtrodden Communities.

Nawamita aspires a state of human society where the poor and the marginalized are livelihood secured contributing to societal peace and develop equality, mutual understanding and brotherhood for a holistic society.

MISSION

Nawamita’s mission is to bring awareness among the rural and urban people about their health, education and basic rights, assist them to recognize and improve their potentialities through skill formation, knowledge sharing and transfer of technical knowhow, to guide them to generate economic benefit for promoting sustainable development in rural and urban economy
